ABOUT BCYAYM (British Columbia Yukon Anglican Youth Movement)
Young Sojouners Event - May 19-22, 2023
Operating since 1913, first as the AYPA, then the AYM, and now as BCYAYM , they work to advocate and provide for youth within the Anglican Ecclesiastical Province of British Columbia and Yukon. BCYAYM coordinates annual conferences for youth and provides support for other youth events throughout the year. BCYAYM acts to build and strengthen mutually beneficial connections between youth and the church, reflecting the importance of the Church in the lives of youth and of youth in the life of the Church. BCYAYM recognizes the diversity of people they serve and they seek to provide a welcoming and beneficial environment for anyone who is interested in partaking in their events.
BCYAYM MISSION
The purpose of BCYAYM (British Columbia Yukon Anglican Youth Movement) is as a ministry of the Anglican Ecclesiastical Province of British Columbia and Yukon, to partner with Anglican and like-minded organizations: to ensure that young people are inspired and challenged spiritually, to hold annual youth conferences and/or events; to advocate for and to empower youth to be involved in the structures of the Church; to reflect the importance of the Church in the lives of youth and of youth in the life of the Church; and to encourage youth to be responsible and engaged individuals within their diverse contexts.
